Toricxs HTML Help: Step 4 - Data Reading

In step 4 Toricxs reads TAG and file name data into memory for further use.

Ok now it is time to read the mp3/wma TAG and mp3/wma/wav file name data , format it and store it in memory for further use. You start the reading by pressing the related button (2). In a TreeView (2) you can see from which directories data is read, the current read directory is marked by a magnifier icon. The progress bar (3) visualizes the progress of the reading process. Each drive that contains files to read (listed in box (4)) is represented by a colored area. When reading from your hard disk then this isn’t very useful, but it is when reading from cd rom or network drives, because from the progress and the color you know when it is time to prepare for changing the cd or when to make sure that the network connection is set up.

Optionally you can view the progress of reading from a directory in box (5). Button number (7) can be pressed if wanting to know from which directories data was already read (not very useful, but makes the program look more professional).

If you want to pause the reading process for any reason (network connection temporary down or so) then press button number (6).

Please note that Toricxs will READ data and NOT WRITE.

When Toricxs finished reading and formatting you are automatically forwarded to step 5.
