Special Toricxs Settings under Windows 7

Under Windows 7 you must always grand Toricxs administrator rights to make it work reliably.

This is especially important if you use the Explorer right-click menu to scan directories or to quickly update music files’ tags.

To give Toricxs administrator rights:

  • open the Windows Explorer (Windows-key + E).
  • go to the directory (folder) you installed Toricxs to (C:\Program Files\Toricxs 1.2 or so)
  • right-click on Toricxs.exe and choose ‘Properties’
  • go to the tab ‘Compatibility’ and enable ‘Run this program as an administrator
  • close the Properties dialog by clicking on ‘Ok’
  • We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, but Windows 7 has some new security features that make this step necessary.
